A timeless chair reimagined

Over 50 years after its debut, Farfalla returns to the architectural scene with renewed elegance and clarity in design. Originally known as Le Farfalle, the chair was first designed in 1974 by Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini. Today, it’s reimagined by Paolo’s son, Folco Orlandini True Design, in a version that honors the past while embracing the present.

“Farfalla is the shining example of how a design project can overcome and go beyond the passing of the years, remaining unaffected and still fully valid today.” – Folco Orlandini

The return of an icon.

Taller, sleeker, built for modern spaces

  • Painted metal frame
  • Cold-foamed polyurethane seat
  • Fully upholstered, available in a range of exclusive fabrics and custom finishes
  • Ideal for residential, office, and hospitality spaces

Farfalla originated from a simple but powerful gesture, capable of generating movement. Each seat lives on its own, but placed with others it builds an organic, dynamic, natural composition.

Light. Iconic. Expressive.

Farfalla blends vintage charm with contemporary elegance. Its distinctive shape, comfort, and character make it the perfect statement piece for interiors that value design with depth, history, and soul.
