In collaboration with Proplusma Architects, we delivered the renovation of the IDEAL Holdings headquarters in Kolonos, Athens, a project that was honored with a Gold Award at the Interior Awards 2026.
The design objective was to create a contemporary workplace that seamlessly combines functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics, fully aligned with the project’s architectural vision.
According to the architect team, the renovation was developed around a particularly demanding design challenge: the creation of a modern working environment through fully reversible interventions. Rather than viewing this requirement as a constraint, the design team embraced it as a creative opportunity, developing a “lightweight envelope” that adapts to the existing building shell while establishing a distinct architectural identity without permanent alterations to the structure.
Guided by wellbeing principles and informed by WELL standards, the design focused on creating a people-centric workplace that promotes collaboration, creativity, and everyday comfort. Open-plan office layouts, abundant natural daylight, soft color palettes, and the integration of natural elements come together to create an environment that supports both productivity and employee wellbeing.
A key feature of the project is the redesigned atrium, which serves as a welcoming reception and interaction hub, strengthening the connection between the building’s various functions and departments. Flexible workplaces, dedicated collaboration areas, and contemporary acoustic solutions contribute to a workplace that balances efficiency, comfort, and wellbeing.
The same design philosophy extends to the executive offices, where clean architectural lines, generous natural light, and carefully selected materials reflect the modern, dynamic identity of IDEAL Holdings. The result is a sophisticated and adaptable work environment that meets the evolving needs of a contemporary organization while placing people and experience at the center of the workplace.
The project received a Gold Award at the Interior Awards 2026, recognizing the strength of its overall architectural approach, the innovation of its design strategy, and the quality of its execution.
